Policies
An annual registration fee of $15 per student is charged. All registration and tuition fees are non-refundable. Class enrollment is not guaranteed until the registration fee and the class tuition is paid.
Family discounts: 10% off of second and third child per session. There are no discounts for costumes, choreography fees, private lesson fees, competition/convention fees.
A release of liability form is to be signed by each parent/ legal guardian for each student, or signed by any dancer 18 years or older, before any participation in any Company K Dance class or function.
Regular session classes are held September to mid-June. A summer program is also available.
Tuition is due on the first of the month. All fees are paid online in the Parent Portal with Mastercard/Visa (debit/credit), auto debit service or with cash/check accepted at the studio. There is an added 3% TRANSACTION FEE FOR ALL CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS.
There will be a $30 late fee assessed if tuition is not paid by the 10th. Payments not received by the 1st of the following month will result in further late charges.
There is a $35 charge for NSF/returned checks.
There is no prorating of tuition regardless of the number of calendar weeks, holidays, school or weather closures, missed classes or absences.
All private tech lessons, solos, duo/trio fees are paid on the day of the lesson to the instructor by cash or check.
• All Company Dancer accounts are to have a credit card on file. For Company dancer accounts that are not on auto-pay (and have unpaid balance by the following month) the credit card on file will be automatically charged (late fees applied if applicable). Tuition is to be paid by the 7th of the month, or late fees will be applied.
• A company membership fee of $150 is due by July 7th, 2023. After this date, the membership fee is $200. There is no family discount on membership fees for company.
• All dance class tuition fees will be due on 1st of month (see above regarding late fees)
• Competition Company escrow account will be charged on the 15th each month. These fees include: Costumes/rhinestones, tights, competition/convention fees, prop fees. Funds will be kept in escrow account and budgeted into 8 monthly payments (Sept-April) and reconciled. Late fee of $30 if not paid by 21st of month.
Choreography fees are additional per guest choreographer and are paid directly to the choreographer. They are not included in the escrow account. Group choreography fees may be assessed for multiple dances and may be $100-$350 per dancer per routine for the year.
Money is nonrefundable. There are no refunds given on tuition already paid. This includes classes missed for injury or illness. Observation of classes is encouraged in these instances of injury. On a case by case basis, with a long standing injury or illness with provided documentation (doctor’s note) consideration may be given.
There are NO refunds given on fees already paid for workshops, master classes, choreography, costume or competition/convention fees for any reason.

Please notify Miss Allyse if your student is unable to attend class by call or email. Class makeups are allowed if we are notified of the absence the week it occurs. Make-up classes are allowed within two weeks of the absence. Please email or text to reschedule the missed class.
Once you pay for a month of classes you are financially committed to that month of classes. If you decide to withdraw a student from a class or the studio you must notify Miss Allyse in writing at least 30 days prior to dropping the class or you will be financially responsible for the next month’s class tuition. There are no refunds for the following: registration or performance fees, costumes, competition/convention fees, choreography fees, Showcase tickets.
Competition Company Dancers are committed financially for the entire dance season and money is nonrefundable.

Please keep students home if they have a contagious illness or are running a fever. Please follow doctor or current CDC recommendations regarding COVID protocols. Please notify instructor if there any concerns of illness or injury.
There will be a $75 costume deposit taken November 15th for each class that performs at the annual Showcase performance. Any remaining balance will be due January 15th. No costumes will be released until paid in full & all costumes will only be released to the parent/guardian. Dance shoes are not included in the costume fee and must be purchased separately. If the costume deposit is not paid by November 15th then the costume might not be ordered and the student may not be allowed to participate in the Showcase performance. Costumes are nonrefundable.
For Company Competition dancers the Showcase costume costs are charged in the monthly Company tuition due the 15th of each month.
Please remember that alterations & simple sewing might be required on costumes for a perfect fit and that these alterations are to be completed by and at the expense of the dancer’s family.
For company dancers, if there are additional showcase costumes, they will be added to your company account in the spring session.
The Showcase Performance gives dancers the opportunity to present to their families and friends all that they have learned! It is a chance to share their Artistry, Athleticism, and Performance skills. The annual Showcase will be in June with the date to be determined. All dancers are required to participate in our annual Showcase performance (except technical turn/stretch or drop-in classes). There is a $25 performance fee due February 15th in order to dance in the Showcase performance. Tickets will be sold for the Showcase performance.
Dancers are expected to attend classes regularly and be on time! Consistent absences are frustrating for the student missing class content and hinder progress. Being late to a class is disruptive to teachers and fellow dancers. For Company Dancers you are required to attend ALL classes 3 weeks prior to any competition or performance. Company dancers see specific attendance policies. In case of an injury or non-contagious illness, the dancer should attend class and observe for learning purposes.
We want all students to thrive and be successful! Class placement is based on both age and ability and is at the discretion of the teaching staff. For Company Dancers class placement is based on multiple factors: ballet technique & other technical proficiencies, natural ability, performance ability, strength and flexibility, work ethic, attendance, retaining and executing intricate choreography, and application of corrections are some of the factors taken into consideration for placement of levels and dances. The necessary development of technically and mentally strong dancers is a slow, methodical process which involves both physical and mental discipline. Dancers develop at their own pace and each dancer is considered as an individual artist and athlete.
Please refer to our dress code under Recreational/Company guidelines. Proper attire is important to allow teachers to view how students use their muscles and allows for specific corrections to improve technique and correct dance foot wear is a safety concern for dancers. Proper dress code helps dancers maintain a high level of focus and pride. Hair for all classes needs to be pulled back & off of the face. A bun is preferred for all recreational ballet classes and is mandatory for Company dancers. Jewelry should not to be worn. No gum, candy, soda or juices is allowed in the studio. Only marked water bottles are allowed in the classrooms.

In consideration of other student’s time, we would prefer communication not be during or between classes. We strive to provide both our dancers and parents with a positive, courteous, professional and memorable experience. Communication is key! Please know that we have your dancer’s best interests at heart!
We will publish any studio closures through email notices and post on Facebook & Instagram. We do not automatically cancel our classes even if the public schools are closed, as weather conditions might improve. Our policy is that we do not reimburse for missed classes but ask that you can make up a class within 2 weeks of the studio closure if you choose to makeup the missed classes
• All dancers and parents/guardians are expected to be kind, courteous, display professional behavior & good sportsmanship towards other students, parents and teachers.
• NO STUDENT IS ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE STUDIO PREMISES unless directed or has permission from a parent or guardian directly!
• No cell phones are allowed in class.
• Student names should be labeled on everything! Lost & found items will be donated once monthly if the items are not claimed in the studio lost & found bin. Do NOT bring anything of monetary or sentimental value to the studio.
• Remember this is a TEAM activity…. There is no “I” in team!
